In addition to developing the enclosure and PCBA, we also handled prototyping, packaging design, establishment of supply chain, tooling, and assembly. Chargeboost2000: lithium-ion polymer compatible power supply

The Chargeboost2000 is a consumer electronics product conceived and developed right here at Kickstart Design LLC. Targeted towards education and hobbyist markets this device allows users to easily integrate Li-ion/poly batteries into their projects.

The Chargeboost2000 features up to 2A, 5V boost output from a single cell lipo battery. Smart load sharing so you can charge & power your projects simultaneously. Integrated charge & low battery LED indicators. USB-C charging, up to 1A at 5V. Physical On/Off switch built-in. Low ESR tantalum output capacitors for increased stability at high loads. Optimized component selection & layout for increased efficiency & heat dissipation.

 

AIGS: Active and Integrated Golf Surface

Targeted towards the golf industry, AIGS simulates up to 5 degrees of lie angle. An uphill, downhill, ball above and ball below your feet can now be simulated. AIGS topography is activated using eight small pneumatic bladders built into the unit. AIGS uses a stand-alone manual interface or can be connected via Bluetooth to a launch monitor to simulate lie angle.

The CV19 face shield was developed in response to COVID-19 in 2020. We created a design that was easily 3D printed and assembled, using inexpensive material. The design features snap-in arms, allowing more parts to be printed at once while retaining a flexible fit for comfort.

We fabricated & delivered 100+ units in 2020 to healthcare workers in the greater Milwaukee area. The design files are available here: CV19 face shield.
