Revisions are made to the assembly process based on client's & KSD's feedback. Find and compare quotes from Manufacturers and 3rd-party component suppliers. Determine quality and reliability of manufacturers and suppliers. Hardware and software assembly documentation. Assembly documentation for entire product. Revisions are made to product specifications, architecture, & ID, based on client's feedback. Agree on production methods. Agree on ideal design of product. This includes space envelopes for functional elements, ideal outer dimensions, and aesthetic aspects. Agree on basic features and functions of product. Devise strategies for their implementation. Review necessary certifications with client. (UL, CE, IP67, etc.) Outline possible materials that fulfill ideal product properties and discuss costs of production with client. Select materials and compile data sheets for production. Third-party components (e.g. hardware, electrical components, etc...) are chosen and sourced. Digital renders and/or animations of final product are sent to client for review. Design is optimized for determined method of production. Revisions are made to the product based on client's feedback. Revisions are made to the Project Scope Statement based on client feedback. Revisions are made to the quote terms based on client feedback. Optimize supplier communication and logistics. The project scope statement is a document that outlines the phases, milestones, technical requirements, assumptions, exclusions, constraints, and risks associated with the project. First article refers to the first item(s) produced using the production methods, assembly processes, and 3rd-party components to be used in subsequent production runs. Given the already defined parameters, concept designs are early visualizations of how we intend the product to look. Once complete, a physical mock-up or digital renders will be sent to the client for review. A fully functional, production look-a-like prototype is fabricated using materials analogous to the production unit. About
Mütesync

The mütesync button is one of the many projects Kickstart Design is proud to be a part of. In addition to developing the enclosure and PCBA, we also handled prototyping, packaging design, establishment of supply chain, tooling, and assembly. It exemplifies the vast array of services we can provide. Click here to read more about our prototyping services.

Rapid Prototyping is the key to our clients’ success

It’s obvious when you think about it. Prototyping is the ultimate tool for validating your idea. Not only is it crucial to developing specialized equipment for industry, but it’s also a key part of the product development cycle. Here’s why.

When it comes to industrial and medical solutions, prototyping

  • Allows us to fine-tune functionality before you implement it

  • Increases the reliability of the final product

  • Ensures that it works exactly how you need it to, the moment you receive it

  • Reduces repair costs & frequency of preventive maintenance

When it comes to product development, prototyping

  • Allows you to quickly validate your idea on the market

  • Fine-tune the marketability of your product

  • Convince potential investors to take you seriously

  • Reduce the likelihood of retooling costs

  • Early start on testing performance, materials, and quality

So, while other design companies try to push your idea into production as quickly as possible,

Kickstart Design iterates, using the latest in rapid prototyping technology, until your idea is fully realized.

WHY TRUST US

Superior Customer Service

We work with you. Clear and open communication is how we bridge the gap between your ideas and our expertise. Your design will look and function exactly how you intended it to.

In-House Design + Prototyping

Projects can be designed and rapidly prototyped all in the same place. This means more iterations, lower prices, and better control over the final product.

Multifaceted

We know your ideas are multifaceted. That’s why our team is just as multifaceted. So whether your idea calls for electronic, mechanical, or artistic designs, we can help.

Fast
Turnaround

Our team of world-class designers work together to ensure you get what you need when you need it, faster than anyone else.

 CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

“I engaged Kickstart Design LLC to build out a concept I've been working on. Their group was professional and communicated all parameters necessary to bring my idea to reality. Their team understood all the mechanical and electrical requirements and were very creative. The price was reasonable. There were no surprises and I look forward to working with Kickstart Design again.”

- Mike G. -

“These guys were incredible. The speed, precision, and expertise of their work was absolutely second to none. There is no doubt in my mind we will be working with them again in the future!”

- Nate Donovan -
Co-Founder of Arbor Made

“We compared three different industrial design companies and in the end chose Kickstart Design. Cameron and crew went above and beyond to help deliver prototypes in the early stages. They had the knowledge, experience, and equipment to design and manufacture our complex electronic prototypes. They were so good we kept them on to also consult through the manufacturing process. They helped us get our supply chain lined up, from plastic injection molding to PCBs and assembly. They helped with packaging, certifications, and even freight and shipping. Above all, they are also a fun group to work with and have always been responsive and communicative. I highly recommend.”
